Job Description

Are you looking for a fulfilling job that provides opportunities for you to make a real difference to the community and youth through meaningful work? Are you looking for a place of work that promotes a culture of growth and development, while having fun? We are looking for a Product Executive to join our growing full-time team.

The goal is to help young people develop positive belief systems and values so that they can take action in their circles of influence. As an end-to-end youth development hub, we aim to build foundational character, mindsets, and skill sets in young people by providing equal accessibility to leadership programmes and initiatives. This same experience is created for our staff as well. As a youth development organisation, we work with the youthful vibrancy of our stakeholders and students, ensuring that while we seek to catalyse social impact through our young people, we also do the personal good of building a staff team that is enabled to do their best work. As Product Executive, you will be playing an integral role in ensuring the quality and relevance of our products supporting youth development. These may span anywhere from programmes to merchandise, and your contribution is directly linked to the future of our work for youth. You will report to the Chief of Product and Innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop various products that serve the mission of the organization.
  • Engage internal stakeholders to customise and build training workshops for our character development programmes.
  • Research the latest developments around education, personal development, organisational psychology, and L&D.
  • Apply gamification and experiential learning into the organization's products, including board games, computer games, blockchain, and AI.
  • Lead training workshops directly in schools and training facilities, for the youth that we serve.

A typical week at work involves:

  • Writing programmes that fulfil the learning objectives of those we serve – youths, educators, and government administrators.
  • Playing board games and experiential games with a view to apply parallel learning onto the work of product development.
  • Reading academic journals, books, and other materials to increase knowledge on frameworks, development models, and applicable theories.
  • Reviewing existing programmes to ensure continued relevance for future utilisation and generational impact.
  • Participating in cross-department meetings to contribute the product developer’s perspective and your view on youth development.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in any sector.
  • While this role will benefit from analogous learning, experience in the youth work sector or in learning & development will be a plus.
  • A keen interest in learning & development and innovative ways to partner the standard academic education system.
  • Enjoys playing games and applying design thinking and metacognition into youth development.
  • Passionate in youth development and our agency as people who can build a future for Singapore and the region, putting people above all else.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills across various levels of stakeholders.
  • Meticulous and detailed oriented, being able to engage with multiple processes and deliver excellence in each of them.
  • Excellent team player, and enjoy working in a dynamic, energetic work environment.
  • Enjoy a fast-paced working and learning environment, able to handle stressful situations.

Benefits

  • A competitive package that includes healthcare, welfare, insurance, and travel allowances.
  • Annual leave of 14 days, and utility of flexi-work and telecommuting schemes.
  • You will have the opportunity to make a substantial impact on the youth development scene in the region.
  • You will gain first-hand experience in expanding an organisation’s scope to work, to further our outreach to impact youths in Singapore, and in the region.
  • You will interface regularly with the senior management team, and other managers as you work with each department on their day-to-day.
  • There will be regular 1:1 sessions that explore your work, discuss your future options, and open up new opportunities for your career and development.
  • You will have a chance to explore other competencies such as training & development, event management, and impact measurement.
