Position 1: Programme Coordinator (City Sprouts)
Job Summary: City Sprouts is looking for a passionate and dynamic Programme Coordinator to run their nature-based and sustainability programmes. The ideal candidate is a people-oriented problem-solver who enjoys being outdoors and is passionate about environmental education, community engagement, and social impact
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute programmes and events from concept to completion, managing logistics, scheduling, vendor relationships, and post-event evaluation.
- Deliver engaging and educational programmes (e.g., farm tours, workshops, multi-session courses) to students, educators, corporate groups, and the general public.
- Handle end-to-end on-site operations, including setup, registration, participant engagement, and real-time troubleshooting.
- Support City Sprouts’ larger community events, such as open days, farmers' markets, and fairs.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, legal, and health regulations across all programme deliveries.
Role-Specific Requirements:
- Experience in event planning, programme coordination, or a related field (community, education, or sustainability preferred).
- Highly comfortable working outdoors and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Outgoing, adaptable, and capable of facilitating hands-on, interactive programmes.
- Bonus: Experience or knowledge in gardening, urban farming, or working and training with beneficiaries (e.g., people with disabilities and seniors).
General Requirements
- Strong project management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, alongside strong interpersonal abilities; comfortable engaging with groups of all ages and backgrounds.
- A client-centric mindset paired with solid problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- A highly collaborative team player who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get hands-on.
- Flexibility to work on days that fall on weekends, evenings, and public holidays on a regular basis.
- Bonus: Ability to start on short notice will be a significant advantage.
