SAGE Hospitality Partners is hiring a General Manager on behalf of a nationally acclaimed, high-volume restaurant in San Francisco, CA with a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $200,000 per year, depending on experience. We’re looking for a polished, business-minded leader with a hospitality-first mentality and a proven track record of operational excellence.
Position Overview:
The General Manager will take full ownership of day-to-day operations in one of the most well-regarded restaurant concepts in the country. This role calls for an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for delivering an elevated dining experience through team leadership, operational precision, and obsessive attention to guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings both strategic vision and a strong floor presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations including service, financial performance, staffing, and execution
- Build, coach, and lead a high-performing management team focused on consistency, accountability, and excellence
- Drive a hospitality-centered culture that prioritizes guest experience and long-term team development
- Manage labor, inventory, P&L, and vendor relationships with a focus on financial sustainability
- Maintain rigorous standards for service, cleanliness, and presentation across all shifts
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings, training programs, and performance reviews to support ongoing growth
- Serve as the ultimate brand steward, setting the tone for professionalism, urgency, and hospitality
Qualifications:
- 5–8+ years of experience as a General Manager or multi-unit leader in an upscale, full-service restaurant
- Exceptional leadership and team development skills, with a hands-on approach to daily operations
- Deep understanding of high-touch guest service, wine and beverage programming, and fine dining standards
- Strong business acumen with proven success managing high-volume P&L and cost controls
- Comfortable navigating complex service models with precision, poise, and presence
- Experience in polished, high-reputation concepts with a loyal following strongly preferred
