Senior HR Generalist – Hengelo (On-Site, Hybrid Fridays)

We’re seeking a proactive, people-focused HR Generalist to support our teams across the region. You’ll work mainly on-site (four days per week) with the flexibility to work from home on Fridays. In this role, you’ll provide day-to-day HR guidance, lead key HR processes, and help cultivate a positive, consistent, and compliant workplace culture.
What You’ll Do
People Support & HR Operations
- Act as a trusted HR partner for employees and managers in manufacturing and support functions.
- Oversee daily HR operations and ensure policies are applied consistently and fairly.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, development, performance reviews, compensation cycles, and offboarding.
Employee Relations & Performance
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Coach managers and employees to strengthen leadership capability and support career growth.
HR Strategy & Business Partnering
- Support organizational effectiveness by implementing HR programs aligned with business goals.
- Work closely with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver effective people solutions that enhance engagement and business performance.
- Collaborate with managers and global HR teams to address people-related challenges with practical, data-driven solutions.
Development, Culture & Change
- Support organizational development initiatives, including training, restructuring, and change management.
- Drive engagement and promote company values across the workplace.
- Lead or support events, training sessions, and communication initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with Dutch labor laws and internal HR policies.
- Use HR systems and data reporting to support decision-making and identify trends.
- Recommend process improvements and support the continuous enhancement of HR practices.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong background in employee relations, engagement, talent development, recruitment, and performance management.
- Experience working in a matrix or fast-paced international environment is a plus.
- Hands-on, solutions-oriented approach with strong critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels of the organization.
- Confidence with HR systems, reporting, and data analysis.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to travel up to 25% when required.
