Sales Admin Team Leader

Stourbridge

£30,000 – £35,000 per annum (DOE)

Competitive package + clear progression in a high-growth environment

Our client, a leading luxury, high-end manufacturing and distribution business, is hiring a Sales Admin Team Leader to coordinate the Sales Admin teams day-to-day order processing, scheduling oversight, and customer communications. You’ll balance customer demand with operational capability, improve cross-team communication, and drive accuracy and efficiency across planning and admin processes.

What you’ll do

  • Lead a small Sales Administration team, ensuring customer orders, enquiries, and quotes are processed promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain pristine ERP/MRP data: order entry, acknowledgements, pricing, and documentation.
  • Monitor open orders, lead times, and delivery dates; keep customers proactively informed.
  • Liaise with Production, Warehouse, and Dispatch to deliver OTIF performance.
  • Support commercial/account managers with accurate reporting and communication.
  • Translate demand and order book data into clear, achievable short-term production plans (value-based rather than heavy capacity planning).
  • Review daily/weekly output; highlight variances and coordinate simple reschedules.
  • Track material availability with Procurement and Stores.
  • Prepare concise reports on lead times, capacity utilisation, and service metrics.
  • Champion systems and process improvements to enhance accuracy and visibility.

You’ll work closely with operations, production, logistics, and commercial stakeholders to ensure a smooth workflow and fast, customer-centric decision-making.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven team leadership in sales administration, customer service, or planning (supervisory/team-lead experience ideal).
  • Excellent cross-department communication and coordination skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving capability.
  • Confident with ERP/MRP and advanced Excel.
  • Experience within manufacturing, production, logistics or similar environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a proactive, solutions-driven approach.
  • Resilient people leader—able to coach, set priorities, and manage performance within a small, challenging team.

Why join?

  • Autonomy & ownership: Shape the role and own outcomes without constant direction.
  • High-growth context: Business has experienced significant year-on-year growth - opportunity to “plug gaps” and make a visible impact.
  • Operations projects: Lead practical improvements - labelling, stock methods, buying processes.
  • Real change delivery: Drive the setup of a new warehouse system across two buildings and support the move of stores to a new unit.
  • People leadership exposure: Input on team structure and coach performance; HR experience (disciplinary/grievance) highly valued.
