Role: IT Support Engineer (2nd Line)
Location: Calne (Hybrid – minimum 1 day per week in office, plus on-site work across Wiltshire)
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum

Our client, a respected Microsoft Partner, is seeking a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their growing technical team. This role offers a great mix of helpdesk and project-based work, supporting a range of customers both remotely and on site across Wiltshire.
It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, hands-on problem solving, and delivering quality technical support in client-facing settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support to customers across multiple environments
- Configure and troubleshoot PCs, servers, firewalls, and network infrastructure
- Manage incidents and requests through the service desk, ensuring SLAs are met
- Carry out regular system checks, backups, and documentation updates
- Support internal IT systems when required
- Collaborate with infrastructure and project teams to deliver on-site solutions
- Maintain strong communication and high levels of customer satisfaction
About You
- At least one year’s experience working within an MSP or ISP environment
- Confident with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Azure sync environments
- Skilled in desktop and network troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (essential for travel across client sites)
