The Opportunity

A highly reputable and fast-growing MSP and technology consultancy in the South West is seeking a Technology Consultant to join its expanding team. With a strong client portfolio across sectors including education, public sector, financial services and not-for-profits, this organisation is at the forefront of delivering impactful IT change and transformation programmes.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on relationship management, strategic planning, and leading the successful delivery of modern IT solutions.


The Role

As Technology Consultant, you’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of client retainers, building trust, identifying technical improvements, and creating strategic technology roadmaps tailored to client needs. You’ll also support internal teams with delivery alignment, documentation, and project momentum.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and nurture technical retainers for small-to-medium-sized clients
  • Create and maintain 12-month technology roadmaps aligned to business objectives
  • Identify technical opportunities and produce statements of work (SOWs) for proposed solutions
  • Conduct regular client infrastructure reviews to uncover improvement areas and growth opportunities
  • Work closely with internal engineers, project leads, and technical consultants to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Maintain proactive, value-driven client relationships across multiple sectors


Typical Projects You'll Be Involved In

  • Cloud and Microsoft 365 migrations
  • SharePoint and Teams-based VOIP solutions
  • Cyber Security uplift programmes, including audit readiness
  • Policy reviews, governance planning, and user training
  • Disaster recovery planning and continuity workshops


What You’ll Bring

  • A strong background in technical consultancy, IT support leadership or infrastructure project delivery
  • Excellent understanding of cloud technologies (Microsoft 365, Azure), modern workplace tools, and cybersecurity principles
  • Experience building and maintaining strategic client relationships
  • Confidence creating roadmaps, plans and technical documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively


Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, MS-102, MD-102
  • Working knowledge of tools like Intune, Entra ID, SharePoint, Defender, VOIP
  • Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., Cyber Essentials Plus)
  • Familiarity with ITIL, service design, or digital transformation initiatives
