2nd Line IT Engineer

Location: London (Hybrid working)

Salary: Up to £36,000 + bonus

Our client, a leading organisation in their sector, is hiring a 2nd Line IT Engineer to provide high-quality technical support and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems across the business. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad technology stack while contributing to continuous improvement and service excellence.

What you’ll do:

• Provide 2nd line support for hardware, software, and network issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents and service requests
• Support Microsoft environments including Windows, O365, and Active Directory
• Assist with system upgrades, deployments, and ongoing maintenance
• Document solutions and contribute to knowledge base improvements

You’ll work closely with 1st line support, infrastructure teams, and key business stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and to a high standard.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in a 2nd line IT support role
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows, O365, Active Directory)
• Experience with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
