Commissioning Engineer (PLC & Controls)

Home Based - The role involves significant Worldwide Travel (Including USA & Asia)

£80,000 OTE (Basic + Overtime)

Permanent, Full-time

A leading engineering solutions provider is looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer with a strong focus on electrical controls to join their team. This role involves hands-on installation, commissioning, and support of control systems on customer sites across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, commission, and hand over control systems on-site
• Troubleshoot and resolve control-related issues
• Read and interpret FDS, SDS, and electrical schematics
• Provide remote and on-site technical support
• Liaise with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
• Produce clear documentation and reports

Requirements:

• Strong experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley and Siemens)
• Knowledge of EthernetIP and Profinet networks
• Familiar with HMI, SCADA, and MES systems
• Degree or HND in Electrical/Controls Engineering or equivalent
• Previous experience in the process industry
• ATEX knowledge is a plus (training provided if needed)
