Job Title: IT Manager
Location: Brampton (5 days onsite)
Base salary range: $110,000-120,000
Reason open: Current incumbent is retiring
Our client, a private equity backed distribution company is seeking an IT Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Lead IT service delivery through managed service providers, ensuring performance meets defined SLAs and KPIs
- Manage vendor relationships, including contracts, performance reviews, and ongoing service improvements
- Align IT operations with business objectives and handle escalations as needed
- Oversee IT budgeting and ensure value and return on outsourced services
- Develop and implement the organization’s IT strategy and technology roadmap
- Identify and drive opportunities for AI, automation, and digital transformation
- Assess emerging technologies and lead innovation initiatives
- Ensure all technology investments deliver measurable business outcomes
- Oversee management of Microsoft environments, including M365 and related applications
- Ensure performance, reliability, and security of cloud-based systems
- Govern IT infrastructure across multiple locations
- Maintain hands-on ownership of ERP systems, including configuration, support, and integrations
- Manage cybersecurity risks and maintain a strong IT security posture
- Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and effective
- Enforce compliance with IT policies, standards, and security requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; certifications are considered an asset
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT leadership roles
- Proven experience managing managed service providers or outsourced IT environments
- Strong expertise in Microsoft platforms and cloud technologies
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Infor M3 preferred)
- Experience with business intelligence tools and reporting is an asset
- Strong ability to align IT strategy with business goals and drive innovation
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement AI and automation opportunities
- Solid understanding of data, reporting, and BI tools to support decision-making
- Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage service delivery using SLAs and performance metrics
- Technical expertise in cloud platforms, Microsoft environments, ERP systems, and IT operations
