Job Title: Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting

Location: Mississauga, ON (In Office)

Salary Range: $140,000 – $165,000 + bonus

Our client is a PE-backed, high-growth company with operations spanning Canada and the United States. As part of an exciting phase of expansion, they are relocating and rebuilding their finance function in the GTA — and looking to add a key player to their team.

Position Overview

This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact Assistant Controller role at a critical point in a company's growth journey. Reporting directly to the VP Finance & Controller, you will take full ownership of the Canadian entity's financials and play a pivotal role in professionalizing the finance function. With PE backing and an ambitious growth agenda, this is an environment where your work will be seen, valued, and directly influence how the business scales. If you thrive in a build-it environment and want proximity to senior leadership and meaningful scope from day one — this is the role for you.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Own the full-cycle Canadian accounting function, including month-end close, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Lead financial reporting deliverables including revenue and margin analysis, KPI reporting, variance analysis, and private equity reporting packages.
  • Establish and strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and policies in a fast-paced environment where much is still being built.
  • Oversee AR, AP, and payroll functions, and manage intercompany transactions, deferred revenue, and complex revenue recognition.
  • Support ERP implementation and system integration initiatives, helping eliminate manual workarounds and drive efficiencies across the close cycle.

What You Bring:

  • CPA designation (required)
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity or operationally complex environment
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with ASPE, intercompany consolidations, and complex revenue recognition
  • A process improvement mindset — you see gaps and fix them
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and building structure where little exists
