About the Opportunity

Our client is hiring a Finance Manager (Contract) for an initial 12-month engagement, reporting into the VP Finance. This is a high-impact opportunity for a hands-on finance leader who can balance treasury-focused cash and liquidity management with controllership rigor. You’ll lead a small team (2 direct reports), sharpen the weekly cash forecasting and reporting cadence for a PE stakeholder, and help drive an improved month-end close timeline. Key Responsibilities

• Own and strengthen the treasury function, with a focus on cash visibility, liquidity planning, and forecasting cadence
• Prepare and present cash flow modeling and related insights to senior stakeholders (including weekly submissions)
• Lead weekly cash flow meetings and ensure deliverables align to external stakeholder timelines
• Partner with business teams (including Sales/Wholesale) to understand inventory purchase plans and incorporate into cash flow models
• Provide oversight and review of payables and cash payments, ensuring accuracy and appropriate timing
• Manage and monitor rent schedules, ensuring landlord payments are made on time and adjusted as directed by leadership
• Take ownership of month-end close, driving accountability, quality, and improved timelines (targeting a shorter close cycle)
• Lead, coach, and motivate 2 direct reports on the accounting side, fostering strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ensure reconciliations and variance explanations include clear supporting descriptions and detail
• Support completion of the audit (in progress) and contribute where audit-ready documentation/processes are required
• Assist with tax-related coordination and relationship-building, as needed
• Operate across the pillars of Treasury / Controllership

What You Bring

• Proven experience in a treasury and cash flow forecasting role, including liquidity planning and stakeholder-ready reporting
• Strong controllership foundation, with the ability to drive a structured, accurate month-end close
• Experience leading and developing a small team (2 direct reports), with a respectful, motivating leadership style
• Advanced Excel capability, with comfort working in Excel-based treasury/cash flow models
• Ability to partner cross-functionally to translate operational drivers (e.g., inventory buys) into financial forecasts
• Detail-oriented approach, with high standards for reconciliations, variance analysis, and documentation quality
• Experience supporting or completing an audit (helpful)
• Exposure to tax matters and working with external partners (helpful)
• Ability to work primarily EST hours while collaborating with stakeholders across PST time zones; comfort with core hours and flexibility as needed
• Comfortable working in a finance environment with tools such as Medius (AP) and Dynamics AX (currently in place)
