About the Opportunity

Our client is a publicly-listed Canadian mining company with global operations, positioned for significant growth as it scales production and advances the staged buildout of processing facilities across key international jurisdictions.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global finance team at a pivotal stage of growth. Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant will take ownership of core accounting, reporting, and compliance activities — gaining broad exposure to IFRS reporting, treasury, and cross-border operations while helping strengthen the financial backbone of a rapidly scaling organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS, and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Support external audits, implement internal controls, and ensure compliance with regulatory, reporting, and taxation requirements.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and treasury activities including banking relationships, liquidity monitoring, and working capital optimization; partner with tax advisors on filings and compliance.
• Collaborate with global finance, operations, and cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and mentor junior staff to elevate reporting quality and operational efficiency.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with an active CPA designation.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in external audit or financial reporting, ideally within the mining or resource sector.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, and Canadian taxation principles.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Pronto is an asset); proven ability to translate financial data for non-finance stakeholders.
• Self-starter with sharp attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; French proficiency is a plus.
