Job Title: Financial Analyst

Location: Aurora, Ontario (5 days onsite)

Salary range: $70,000-80,000


Summary:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing accounting and financial support, assisting the Controller on various projects, ensuring full-cycle accounting for all company entities, maintaining accurate general ledger records, and providing insightful financial analysis to support management decision-making.


Responsibilities:

  • Process deposits and manage chargebacks (debit notes) for FDM customers, ensuring accurate and timely postings.
  • Oversee FDM accounts receivable, analyze outstanding balances, and drive follow-up actions to secure payments.
  • Verify and manage all debit notes and Walmart chargeback invoices, ensuring alignment with contractual terms and management approval.
  • File disputes for penalties related to shipments, late or missed deliveries, and lost items through relevant portals.
  • Create, track, and resolve disputes related to FDM invoices, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for two bank accounts and multiple credit card payment channels, including Moneris (VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, PayPal, Debit).
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts of PSCA to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly FDM commissions and accruals for Popeyes, SPLK, and HP commissions.
  • Generate monthly reports on FDM sales, expenses, production performance, and inventory trends to support management decision-making.
  • Maintain detailed spreadsheets and historical account records for NF accounts and other reconciliations.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support operational needs and identify areas for efficiency improvements.
  • Receive and process purchase orders via EDI, ensuring accuracy and timely recording.
  • Support the accurate and efficient recording of monthly accruals across multiple partner accounts.
  • Assist the Controller with operational and strategic financial needs as required.
  • Provide administrative support across finance and operations to ensure smooth business processes.
