About the Opportunity
Our client is a dynamic, PE-backed SaaS and payments organization undergoing rapid growth and increased sophistication in its finance function. Reporting directly to the FP&A leader, the Senior FP&A Consultant will step in as a key strategic and hands-on resource during a period of transition. You will backfill a departing Senior Manager, FP&A, manage an experienced Senior Analyst, and act as a true “right hand” to the FP&A leader.
This is a chance to join a lean, high-change environment where revenue has scaled faster than headcount, and your work will immediately influence executive and PE-level reporting, the build-out of Adaptive, and the shift to a rolling forecast model. You’ll help stabilize the function, upgrade processes and tools, and position the team for long-term success in a fast-growing, data-driven business.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Senior FP&A Consultant and primary partner to the FP&A leader, providing both tactical support and strategic insight.
- Manage and coach the Senior FP&A Analyst, including workload prioritization and review of deliverables.
- Lead and enhance the monthly FP&A cycle, including expense management, variance analysis, and executive-ready commentary.
- Build, refine, and maintain the monthly FP&A package in Adaptive, improving automation and analytical depth.
- Develop meaningful commentary and analysis on:
- Headcount and workforce costs
- Income statement drivers and variances
- Segment performance, including the payments business
- Expense trends and key variances
- Establish and embed a rolling forecast cadence (initially quarterly) within Adaptive.
- Leverage and migrate existing financial models into Adaptive (enablement and enhancement vs. full rebuild).
- Design, refine, and maintain KPI reporting and dashboards for a SaaS and payments business, including metrics such as churn, upsell/downsell, pricing impacts, volume indicators, and CLV.
- Produce Monthly Executive Packages for Sales, Marketing, and RevOps, with a focus on expenses, headcount, and revenue drivers.
- Support bi-weekly executive updates by partnering with an internal dashboard builder to ensure accurate and insightful visuals and narratives.
- Drive process improvement and efficiency within FP&A through report automation (Adaptive, Excel, BI), streamlined data flows, and standardized templates.
- Represent FP&A in systems and integration initiatives, including the Salesforce to Revenue Cloud migration, ensuring data and structure meet reporting and forecasting needs.
- Ensure FP&A is effectively leveraging tools and data across both SaaS and payments lines of business.
- Document FP&A processes, models, and reporting frameworks to support knowledge transfer and onboarding of the future Senior Manager.
- Contribute to defining the profile and selection of the permanent Senior Manager, FP&A, and support transition planning.
