The Opportunity

Our client, a privately held renewable energy company based in the GTA, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their finance team. This newly created role reports to the VP of Finance and will own day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for a group of international entities.

This is a hands-on opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and contributing to the build-out of scalable accounting and reporting processes within a growing, global organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for multiple international entities, including full-cycle month-end close
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Prepare financial statements under IFRS (and UK GAAP where applicable)
• Support accounts payable processing and clearing for international entities
• Assist with consolidations, intercompany transactions, FX translation, and CTA calculations
• Support annual audits, including preparation of working papers and auditor inquiries
• Help design, implement, and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and scalable processes
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and ad hoc financial reporting for leadership

What We Need From You

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Big 4 or mid-sized public accounting firm training strongly preferred
• CPA designation (or in progress)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and private company reporting
• Experience with consolidations, intercompany, deferred taxes, and FX
• Exposure to NetSuite is an asset
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to operate in a changing environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $85,000–95,000
• Target bonus: ~10%
• 3 weeks’ vacation
