About the Opportunity

Our client is a global private equity firm managing a multi-billion dollar portfolio, with offices across North America and Europe. The firm partners with businesses in communications, media, consumer and business services, and brings a long-term, operationally focused approach to every investment.

This 14-month Interim Finance Manager role oversees the firm's three smaller entities in Canada, the UK and Florida. You'll own financial reporting, audits, tax filings and quarterly budgets across all three, and you'll help prepare the quarterly board presentations.

The groundwork is already there: processes are well documented. What the team wants now is someone who can take ownership, keep the reporting calendar running smoothly and improve it where it counts. The quarterly board cycle feels tight today, and the AP model is ready for a fresh look. If you like working across jurisdictions and bringing structure to a lean function, this role gives you real ownership and visibility with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly financial statements for the Canadian, UK and US entities under Canadian GAAP, UK GAAP and US tax reporting requirements
• Lead the annual audits for all three entities, from planning and schedules to auditor coordination and sign-off
• Prepare and file HST returns (Canada) and VAT returns (UK)
• Support corporate tax filings across the three jurisdictions
• Own bottom-up quarterly budgets, built by vendor, and analyze and explain variances to plan
• Contribute financial content to quarterly board presentations and help the process run more smoothly
• Review and use output from the AP, credit card and payroll teams to produce the financials
• Process intercompany billing and recharges between entities
• Find and carry out process improvements, starting with the AP model
• Keep documentation current and use existing process materials to get up to speed quickly

Nice to Have

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience
• Exposure to US tax reporting for a Florida or other US entity
• Experience with multi-entity, cross-border consolidation or intercompany accounting
• Track record of improving AP or reporting processes
