THE ROLE:


This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious candidate to oversee the design and delivery of integrated communications and marketing strategies to meet the organisation’s wider strategic goals.


You will lead and inspire a team of communications and marketing professionals to create and deliver engaging and impactful programmes of activity that showcase the work of the Academy and the value of the humanities and social sciences.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


As the Head of Communications and Marketing, you will be responsible for:


  • Overseeing the development and delivery of integrated communications plans that support our strategic aims.
  • Developing and delivering effective, integrated marketing strategies and campaigns to drive engagement with our content, events and broader vision.
  • Overseeing the delivery of an Academy-wide brand strategy, working with departments to create a clear and compelling brand across all touchpoints.
  • Overseeing the development of storytelling content that supports our strategic communications plans.
  • Supporting the Deputy Head and Internal Communications Manager to develop and deliver the Academy’s first internal communications strategy.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:


  • Experience of delivering impactful, integrated communications and marketing strategies.
  • Experience of successfully leading, motivating and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience of developing digital and content strategies that drive awareness and engagement.
  • The ability to prioritise multiple projects and deliver to competing deadlines.
  • A solid grounding in the principles of effective internal communications.


SALARY AND BENEFITS:


Salary: £70,000.


Benefits include generous pension contributions, 34 days holiday, and the availability of season ticket loans.
