Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Permanent Placement

Location: Pittsfield, MA

Facility: Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Setting

Schedule: 08/31/25 | Day Shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute break)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team in Pittsfield, MA. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment focused on improving quality of life and functional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assess patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals.
  • Provide direct speech therapy treatment in accordance with physician orders and best practices.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy plans and progress.
  • Document patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians.
  • Participate in care plan meetings, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Massachusetts SLP license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
