Position Overview:
Park View Nursing is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead and manage the rehabilitation department. This role involves oversight of physical, occupational, and speech therapy services, ensuring exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, and the effective management of staff and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the rehab department, including staffing, scheduling, and productivity oversight
- Supervise and support a team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care to develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation, billing practices, and adherence to compliance standards
- Maintain department standards aligned with Medicare, PDPM, and facility policies
- Partner with facility leadership to improve care delivery, outcomes, and staff engagement
- Mentor and train therapy staff, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in California (required)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting
- Prior experience in a supervisory or DOR role preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare, PDPM, and regulatory guidelines for skilled nursing facilities
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in EMR and rehabilitation documentation systems
