Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Location: Albuquerque, NM 87111

Employment Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)

Hours: 35 hours/week

Compensation: $31.20 – $34.28 per hour

SSU is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a permanent opportunity in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role supports patients in a transitional rehabilitation setting focused on restoring independence and function.

Responsibilities

• Implement OT treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Provide therapeutic activities targeting ADLs, mobility, and functional performance
• Monitor patient response and communicate progress to the OT
• Maintain accurate documentation per guidelines and timelines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient-centered outcomes

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA program
• Active New Mexico COTA license (or eligibility)
• SNF/rehab experience preferred
