Job Summary:
Amazon’s Relationship Identity team is seeking a highly motivated Software Development Engineer to contribute to the enhancement of Product Identity services that impact Amazon’s global buying and selling experiences. This role involves developing and maintaining high-scale software solutions that ensure the consistency, accuracy, and security of Amazon’s product catalog across marketplaces. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, experience in software development, and a passion for working with cutting-edge technologies such as Machine Learning (ML) and Large Language Models (LLM) to optimize product identity decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain scalable software solutions that improve Amazon’s Product Identity services and catalog integrity.
• Collaborate with Applied Scientists and engineering teams to integrate ML and LLM technologies into decision-making processes.
• Work with internal business clients and cross-functional teams to support new global business initiatives.
• Optimize and enhance systems to protect the Amazon catalog from abuse while improving search and discovery experiences.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality software development standards.
• Participate in system architecture and design discussions, providing technical expertise on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges related to large-scale distributed systems.
Basic Qualifications:
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in system design, architecture, and scalability.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C++, Python, or similar.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Experience with machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), or large language models (LLM) in software applications.
• Prior experience working with large-scale, high-traffic distributed systems.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
