Job Title: Director of Rehabilitation (DOR)

Location: Windsor El Camino Care Center, CA

Shift: Day Shift | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Summary:

The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) will oversee and manage the daily operations of the rehabilitation department at Windsor El Camino Care Center. This leadership role is responsible for supervising a multidisciplinary therapy team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered therapy services. The DOR serves as a key member of the facility’s leadership team and plays an integral role in the success of clinical outcomes and staff development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and supervision for the physical, occupational, and speech therapy teams.
• Ensure therapy services are delivered in accordance with all applicable regulations and facility policies.
• Oversee departmental scheduling, productivity, staffing, and workflow management.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely billing and reimbursement practices.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in coordination with clinical staff and interdisciplinary teams.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment through coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
• Monitor compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance requirements, including PDPM guidelines.
• Participate in facility-wide quality improvement initiatives and audits.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of California (required).
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting.
• Previous leadership or management experience as a DOR or Rehab Manager strongly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of Medicare regulations, PDPM, and long-term care industry standards.
• Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team.
