Superintendent Job Description

Our client is seeking experienced and dedicated Traveling Construction Superintendents. Immediate projects are located in Colorado and Illinois. Additional projects will be in Michigan, Nebraska, and Arizona. 


Responsibilities:

Directly supervises assistant superintendents, laborers, subcontractors, and vendors on the job site. This includes training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work.

Manage project schedules for timely completion of work.

Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure work meets specifications and stays within budget.

Enforce safety regulations on job sites.

Resolve issues or conflicts during the construction process.

Maintain accurate records of construction activity.

Communicate regularly with project owners or managers to provide updates on construction progress.

Inspect work for quality to ensure it meets project specifications.


Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.

This role involves both office and field responsibilities.

Familiarity with construction codes and experience reading blueprints.

Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with homeowners, subcontractors, and team members.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects.

Ability to delegate, execute, and follow-up on tasks effectively.

Travel required. A valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance are mandatory at all times.
