The Role: What You’ll Be Doing
As an Applications Engineer, you'll support the execution of customer orders and help integrate robotic solutions on-site and off-site. You'll work with robotic simulation, offline programming, metrology setups, and system commissioning – plus contribute to demonstrations, training, and customer support. It’s a varied role with real responsibility from day one.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting the delivery of robotic inspection and drilling systems
• Developing measurement plans and understanding GD&T
• Performing robot simulations and offline programming
• Setting up and calibrating metrology equipment
• Running demos, acceptance testing, and customer training
• Acting as a technical liaison between internal teams and customers
• Participating in pre-sales support through simulations and demos
• Coordinating projects and providing first-line support until handover
You’ll also have the chance to get involved in R&D projects, product testing, and contribute to best practice development.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
• A degree in Systems Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong communication skills and good spoken English
• Hands-on approach – comfortable using tools as well as software
Desirable:
• Experience with CAD or robot simulation software
• Confidence giving presentations or technical demonstrations
• Enthusiasm for new tech and working in varied environments
