General Manager – HVAC Service Operations


Lead. Grow. Build a High-Performing Service Organization.

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead and grow a high-performing HVAC service operation in North Florida. This role is responsible for the overall performance of the service division, including P&L ownership, operational leadership, business growth, and customer success.

You will lead a team of technicians, coordinators, and office staff while working closely with sales leadership to expand service agreements, drive revenue growth, and strengthen long-term client relationships.

This is an opportunity for a proven operations leader to scale a growing service business, improve operational efficiency, and build a strong regional presence.

What You'll Do


Business Leadership

  • Own the full P&L for the service division, including revenue, margins, and profitability
  • Drive business growth and market expansion across the North Florida region
  • Lead operational strategy and performance improvement initiatives
  • Represent the organization with key customers, vendors, and industry partners

Service Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the service and preventative maintenance business
  • Optimize technician utilization, dispatching, and labor planning
  • Ensure service agreements are delivered profitably and efficiently
  • Monitor operational KPIs and financial performance

Customer & Sales Partnership

  • Partner with the sales team to develop and close large service opportunities
  • Lead service agreement renewal and retention strategies
  • Address escalated client issues and maintain high customer satisfaction

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of technicians, service coordinators, and office staff
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain top service talent
  • Foster a strong safety culture and high-performance environment

Strategic Operations

  • Oversee fleet management, service inventory, and equipment planning
  • Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerant handling
  • Support smooth handoffs between construction/project teams and service operations


What We're Looking For

  • 5–7+ years of leadership experience in HVAC service, mechanical contracting, facilities services, or similar technical service industries
  • Strong P&L management and operational leadership experience
  • Proven success managing field technicians and service teams
  • Experience growing service agreements and customer retention programs
  • Strong understanding of dispatching, service operations, and labor planning
  • Experience with ERP/CRM systems and operational reporting tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer relationship skills
