Where will you be working?
Our client are recruiting for a Planning Manager for our Substations department within the South West, West of England, M4 Corridor and South Wales regions. This role is client facing, so a willingness to travel is a must.
You’ll be managing the production of robust and detailed programmes for all works associated with the design, procurement and construction phases of our substation projects, ensuring the team liaise with the Project/Construction Manager and Site Engineers to ensure that the programme keeps abreast of any changes.
You’ll be managing and coordinating the production of detailed trackers that can substantiate progress measurements on a regular basis and retain these for analysis on future bids.
Mentor and support less experienced members of the planning team on the technical aspects of programming.

Your expertise will be vital to our success! We’re looking for someone who excels at managing resources and subcontractors and who enjoys being involved in every stage of the project, working closely with the site delivery team and attending client meetings, from initial planning to final handover.
In this role, you will also collaborate with our bid team, offering your planning expertise to make our bids competitive and accurate.
Your ability to collect benchmarking data for value assessments and manage risk, issue, and opportunity registers will be highly valued.
