The Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) is actively recruiting a Physician Assistant or APRN to join a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in West Point, Nebraska, where you will provide high-quality, evidence-based medical services for all. Your Role:
- Provide direct patient care services to patients within the scope of medical practice
- Examine, diagnose, and prescribe appropriate treatment plans following appropriate standards of care for each patient
- Maintain health records for all patients and provide appropriate follow-up instructions through the use of electronic health records
- Participate in the review, development, and training of patient care policies, procedures, protocols, and standing orders
- Provide teaching and clinical supervision to nursing staff and trainees
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve health outcomes
What We Are Looking For:
- Master’s degree from a Physician Assistant program approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant required or Nurse Practitioner program recognized by the Board of Nursing required
- Current unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or ability to obtain required
- Current DEA license or ability to obtain required
- Minimum of three years of experience in primary care services preferred
- Ability to meet all credentialing requirements for Medicaid, Medicare, and other insurances required
- Knowledge of public health principles and practices
- Demonstrated professional commitment to providing services to medically under-served individuals in a public health setting
- Ability to foster strong patient-provider relationships
