Senior Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the development and management of mechanical engineering design initiatives. This role will report directly to the site President and will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, efficient, and innovative engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in mechanical design, a strong problem-solving mindset, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities
- Develop and approve conceptual designs, detailed assemblies, and general arrangement 2D drawings and 3D models for fabrication.
- Verify design and detail drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Maintain project schedules by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving manufacturing or design issues.
- Lead design reviews and champion innovative solutions and new ideas.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies for product development and improvement based on customer feedback and vendor input.
- Collaborate closely with customers to ensure satisfaction from initial sale through product delivery.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting via phone, remote access, or onsite customer visits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
- Multiple years of machine design experience.
- Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication principles.
- Experience with project management, including budgeting and resource allocation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel (mostly local) to customer facilities as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Results-oriented and self-motivated.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of processing equipment.
- Experience with Autodesk Vault.
- Familiarity with industrial electrical systems.
