Engineering Manager

Lead a small team. Stay hands-on with design.

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a team of 2–3 engineers and designers while remaining actively involved in design engineering. This role combines technical leadership, product development, and team management, guiding projects from customer requirements through production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a small team of engineers and designers.
• Manage priorities, workloads, project schedules, and engineering resources.
• Design hydraulic, electrical, and combination swivels using SolidWorks.
• Create models, assemblies, detailed drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform engineering calculations, design reviews, DFMEAs, and product testing.
• Work with customers and internal teams to develop practical engineering solutions.
• Support quoting, new product launches, manufacturing, troubleshooting, and quality improvements.
• Manage engineering changes, drawings, revisions, and BOMs within an ERP system.
• Ensure designs meet customer requirements and applicable industry standards.
• Drive product improvements, cost reductions, and engineering process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience designing hydraulic or electromechanical components.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership or team management experience.
• Advanced SolidWorks skills and strong knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Experience with engineering changes, BOMs, and ERP systems.
• Strong project management, communication, and customer-facing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Experience

• Hydraulic/electric rotary products or combination swivels.
• Oracle ERP and SolidWorks PDM or similar systems.
• DFMEA, product testing, and APQP/PPAP.
• Marine, mobile equipment, or industrial OEM markets.
• PE license or Lean/Six Sigma training.
