What You’ll Do
Design & Innovate
- Develop and refine mechanical and electromechanical systems for custom and standard equipment builds
- Use Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD to create 3D models and detailed drawings
- Play a key role in our transition to Inventor as our standard design platform
Collaborate & Communicate
- Partner closely with R&D, production, and service teams to optimize equipment performance and ensure design feasibility
- Engage with clients at project milestones, FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests), and system demos to present technical insights and gain real-time feedback
Problem-Solve & Improve
- Perform hands-on testing and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to resolve system and component-level issues
- Propose cost-effective design optimizations that enhance manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability
Lead Across the Lifecycle
- Support projects from concept through to commissioning—prototypes, documentation, testing, and final installation
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation including assembly drawings, manuals, and support materials
Support in the Field
- Travel as needed to customer sites for equipment commissioning, system validation, and FATs
What You Bring
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred (equivalent hands-on experience also considered)
- Experience in mechanical or electromechanical design, preferably in custom equipment or systems integration
- Proficient in Autodesk Inventor (priority), SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and standard CAD tools
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) workflows and new product introduction (NPI) processes
- Comfortable in both R&D and production settings; hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and testing
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals including tolerancing, fasteners, motion control, and pneumatics
- Skilled in Root Cause Analysis and failure mode mitigation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills—comfortable working cross-functionally and presenting to clients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration platforms (e.g., Teams, SharePoint)
