Project Engineer – Custom Engineered Systems

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of custom-engineered process equipment and integrated systems for industrial applications. This role offers the opportunity to manage projects from concept through commissioning, working cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and customer teams to ensure world-class results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical liaison with clients, driving design discussions, interpreting specifications, and ensuring clear communication to build long-term partnerships.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support procurement of long-lead and critical-path components.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Designers to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-optimized solutions on schedule.
  • Perform and validate engineering calculations, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Review and approve P&IDs, general arrangements, control panel layouts, schematics, and fabrication drawings for accuracy and constructability.
  • Generate technical documents including instrument data sheets, pump curves, I/O lists, and operating sequences for manuals and training purposes.
  • Partner with manufacturing to ensure seamless fabrication, assembly, and quality assurance, conducting inspections for welding, coatings, and dimensional accuracy.
  • Lead factory acceptance testing (FAT), coordinate third-party inspections, and manage all project documentation.
  • Oversee shipping logistics to guarantee on-time, damage-free delivery.
  • Provide on-site commissioning, operator training, and technical support to ensure successful system startup.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
  • Hands-on knowledge of pumps, motors, tanks, piping systems, controls, instrumentation, and industrial fabrication processes.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documents including P&IDs, schematics, and structural layouts.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, NFPA, NEC, OSHA).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with proven customer-facing experience.
  • Knowledge of fluid dynamics, power generation, or petrochemical processes preferred.
  • Prior project management or ISO 9001 experience a plus.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 3-5%) for customer support.

Why Join Us?

This is a high-impact role where you will take ownership of full-cycle project execution, from design and testing through delivery and training. If you are passionate about engineering, thrive in dynamic environments, and want to see your designs come to life in critical industries, this is the opportunity for you.
