We are working with a highly respected and growing accountancy practice based in North London who are looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior.

The role offers a genuine 50/50 split between audit and accounts, providing broad exposure across a diverse portfolio of clients, from SMEs through to larger businesses with turnovers reaching £120m. Majority of the firm's client are within the construction sector, however you will also gain exposure to other industries. You’ll be working within a supportive team environment with direct access to managers and partners, giving you excellent scope to develop your technical skills and progress your career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead audits from planning through to completion for a range of clients
• Prepare statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP
• Work closely with clients in the construction sector and related industries
• Identify key audit risks and ensure appropriate testing is carried out
• Supervise and support junior team members on assignments
• Liaise with managers and partners on technical and client matters
• Assist with ad-hoc assignments and project work as required

Qualifications and Skills:

• ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent), or qualified by experience
• Strong experience across both audit and accounts within a UK accountancy firm
• Good working knowledge of UK GAAP
• Experience managing audit assignments and liaising directly with clients
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage workload effectively across multiple assignments
• Experience with construction clients is highly advantageous
