We are partnered with a growing Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) to find their next Regional Director of Operations (RDO) to lead 5 clinics in Merced County. This is a pivotal leadership role for a healthcare professional who thrives in community-based environments, values accountability, and is motivated by the opportunity to shape systems, coach leaders, and improve outcomes for thousands of patients.
With 10 clinics across Merced and Stanislaus Counties, our mission-driven team delivers equitable primary care, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, radiology, and women’s health services to underserved and diverse communities.
As Regional Director of Operations, you will:
- Provide multi-site healthcare leadership, ensuring smooth, consistent, and patient-centered operations across 5 clinics.
- Oversee and mentor 3 Site Managers, developing them into confident leaders who can manage HR, workflows, and staff engagement at the site level.
- Drive operational excellence with a focus on patient access, provider productivity, service recovery, and staff retention.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives including UDS and HEDIS measures, PCMH standards, and population health strategies.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders in medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and radiology to strengthen collaboration and ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Ensure compliance with HRSA, CDPH, and health plan regulations, including OSV readiness and risk management.
- Manage regional operating budgets and P&L, aligning financial performance with organizational goals.
- Champion a culture of accountability, compassion, and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or related field (Master’s degree in MHA, MPH, or MBA preferred).
- 5–7 years of healthcare operations leadership, ideally in a multi-site FQHC, community health center, or safety-net healthcare setting.
- Strong experience with QI/QA, compliance, and performance management.
- Knowledge of UDS, HEDIS, HRSA compliance, PCMH, and population health programs.
- Proven ability to build, inspire, and retain high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Proficiency with EHR systems (NextGen preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between clinic sites.
