Thomas Professional are delighted to be exclusively supporting a growing Medical Device business in the search for a General Manager to join their team. You’ll oversee the full scope of manufacturing operations from their offices in Tewkesbury, this is a pivotal role at the heart of our mission to improve lives through personalised medical solutions.

As a General Manager, you will:

• Overseeing the manufacture and dispatch of products
• Leading production planning and cleanroom operations
• Ensuring compliance with ISO 13485, MDSAP, and FDA standards
• Managing documentation and audits via our eQMS (MasterControl)
• Driving continuous improvement and maintaining PFMEA documentation
• Managing inventory and liaising with finance and sales teams
• Leading and developing the production team
• Supporting product development and testing
• Ensuring HSE compliance and maintaining safety documentation
• Facilitating weekly and monthly reporting meetings
• Providing HR support, onboarding, and pastoral care for site staff

To be successful as a General Manager, you will:

• Be experienced in medical device manufacturing and regulatory compliance
• Have a strong knowledge of ISO 13485, MDSAP, and FDA standards
• Be Familiar with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing principles
• Be Skilled in production planning and capacity building
• Have an understanding of HSE systems and documentation
• Display excellent leadership, communication, and attention to detail
• Be Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital documentation systems

In return, my client are offering a salary of up to £70,500 per annum, depending on experience. Please note, this is a full-time permanent position.
