Thomas Professional are delighted to be exclusively supporting a growing Medical Device business in the search for a General Manager to join their team. You’ll oversee the full scope of manufacturing operations from their offices in Tewkesbury, this is a pivotal role at the heart of our mission to improve lives through personalised medical solutions.

As a General Manager, you will:
- Overseeing the manufacture and dispatch of products
- Leading production planning and cleanroom operations
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 13485, MDSAP, and FDA standards
- Managing documentation and audits via our eQMS (MasterControl)
- Driving continuous improvement and maintaining PFMEA documentation
- Managing inventory and liaising with finance and sales teams
- Leading and developing the production team
- Supporting product development and testing
- Ensuring HSE compliance and maintaining safety documentation
- Facilitating weekly and monthly reporting meetings
- Providing HR support, onboarding, and pastoral care for site staff
To be successful as a General Manager, you will:
- Be experienced in medical device manufacturing and regulatory compliance
- Have a strong knowledge of ISO 13485, MDSAP, and FDA standards
- Be Familiar with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing principles
- Be Skilled in production planning and capacity building
- Have an understanding of HSE systems and documentation
- Display excellent leadership, communication, and attention to detail
- Be Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital documentation systems
In return, my client are offering a salary of up to £70,500 per annum, depending on experience. Please note, this is a full-time permanent position.
