Working within a highly skilled Toolroom environment, you will play a key role in the manufacture, maintenance, modification, and repair of precision tooling. Role Responsibilities
• Manufacture, assemble, maintain and repair press tools and mould tools to a high standard
• Carry out precision fitting, bench work and tool assembly activities
• Diagnose tooling issues and carry out repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Use manual machining equipment including milling machines, lathes and grinders where required
• Support production teams by ensuring tooling remains reliable and fit for purpose
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to maximise tool performance and minimise downtime
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping within the Toolroom
The Person
• Proven experience as a Press Toolmaker, Mould Toolmaker or Toolmaker within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of tool manufacture, maintenance, repair and fault finding
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Experience using manual machining equipment such as mills, lathes and surface grinders
• A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
