Due to continued success and an increasing order book, we are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner / Semi-CNC Combination Lathe Turner to join our team.

We are looking for an exceptional CNC Turner with significant experience working within a precision engineering environment, with proven experience in programming and setting CNC Lathes.

The Role:

As a Centre Lathe Turner / Semi-CNC Combination Lathe Turner, you will be responsible for producing precision-turned components to engineering drawings and maintaining consistently high standards of accuracy and quality.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Producing precision-turned components to supplied engineering drawings
• Setting and operating manual centre lathes
• Operating large-capacity CNC/manual combination lathes
• Inspecting your own work to ensure components meet the required specification
• Selecting appropriate materials and machining methods
• Working accurately and efficiently within a precision engineering environment
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality

The Right Person:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Centre Lathe Turner who can demonstrate:

• Proven experience working within a precision engineering environment
• Strong experience operating manual centre lathes
• Experience producing precision components to engineering drawings
• A good understanding of materials and machining methods
• The ability to inspect and take responsibility for the quality of your own work

Experience with Gildemeister lathes and Heidenhain controls would be an advantage, although experience with similar machinery will also be considered. Training can be provided to the right candidate.
