Role Responsibilities
As a CNC Setter/Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Setting and operating CNC lathes and/or milling machines
- Producing precision-engineered components to engineering drawings and specifications
- Performing tool changes, offsets and machine adjustments
- Inspecting components using a range of measuring equipment
- Maintaining high quality standards throughout the production process
- Completing production documentation accurately
- Working to production schedules while ensuring quality and efficiency
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Working closely with Production and Quality teams to achieve manufacturing targets
The Person
The successful CNC Setter/Operator will ideally have:
- Previous CNC Setting and Operating experience
- Experience working within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers and gauges
- Good understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and excellent work ethic
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
