Up to £37,000 – permanent role

Full-time, 39 hours per week (Monday to Friday, early finish Fridays)

Our client, a leading national business with a well-maintained fleet, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their workshop team.

You’ll service and repair a fleet of vans from routine maintenance to major repairs in a fully equipped workshop, with occasional travel in a Fleet Support Vehicle to assist with on-the-road servicing and breakdowns.

This is a hands-on role in a friendly, supportive environment, focused on quality work rather than sales and time pressures.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Carry out vehicle diagnostics and record results
  • Service company vehicles and complete associated paperwork
  • Undertake repairs in line with good practice and supplier recommendations
  • Advise the Workshop Supervisor on specialist part requirements
  • Travel nationwide to assist with breakdowns in the Fleet Support Vehicle
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety legislation and workshop rules
  • Escalate issues and seek guidance when required
  • Support additional business tasks as needed
  • Visit other business locations on occasion


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven mechanic (Level 3 qualified or through experience) with exposure to a wide range of vehicles
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and logical thinking skills
  • Organised with good time management and prioritisation abilities
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure
  • Clear communicator, able to explain technical issues simply
  • Team player with the ability to work independently when needed
  • Full UK manual driving licence
