Backend Engineer, Senior and Staff

Build the backend services that turn noisy identity, device and behavioral signals into trustworthy, explainable decisions for banks, fintechs and government agencies. This is not a ticket queue. You will own production paths where latency, correctness and adversarial pressure all matter.

Performance Objectives

• Ship and own low-latency decisioning services that keep p99 response times inside agreed SLOs under peak identity and fraud traffic
• Cut incident-causing defects in your services by designing for failure: clear contracts, idempotency, backpressure and tested rollback paths
• Turn ambiguous fraud and identity requirements into production APIs and data contracts that product, risk and data science can rely on without rework
• Drive technical decisions across team boundaries

Essential Qualifications

• Experience building and operating backend services in production, including APIs, data stores and asynchronous workflows.
• Significant hands-on coding experience with a solid understanding of concurrency and multi-threading.
• Proven delivery of low-latency or high-throughput systems with explicit SLOs, load testing and incident response.
• Experience architecting microservices and RESTful APIs, including service contracts, schema evolution and integrations with external data providers or internal ML signals.
• Use AI in your daily workflow to raise your impact and efficiency
