Job Title: Tax Supervisor / Tax Manager

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Tax Supervisor/Manager to join its growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced public accounting professional with a CPA license who is ready to take on a leadership position within a collaborative firm environment. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in corporate tax and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple tax engagements for a variety of clients, including S corporations, C corporations, and partnerships.
• Oversee the preparation and review of complex federal and state tax returns.
• Provide strategic tax planning and consulting to clients in various industries.
• Manage client relationships and serve as the main point of contact for tax-related matters.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, regulations, and firm policies.
• Assist with IRS and state tax audits, correspondence, and issue resolution.
• Stay current with changes in tax legislation and industry developments.
• Support internal process improvement and quality control initiatives.
• (Preferred) Contribute to firm growth by identifying new business opportunities and cultivating client relationships.

Qualifications:

• Active CPA certification (required)
• 5+ years' recent public accounting experience in tax (7+ years preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Corporate, S Corp, and C Corp tax structures
• Experience reviewing tax returns (not just prep)
• Experience managing client relationships (for Manager level)
