Job Description

The Account Executive is a senior-level field sales position calling on commercial accounts and/or SLED accounts. Account Executives are customer-facing sales professionals responsible for selling technology solutions & services to the commercial and SLED markets, building customer & partner relationships, and driving both revenue and profitability growth within assigned accounts. This is a commissioned salesperson responsible for an annual margin quota.


Responsibilities & Qualifications

The Commercial Account Executive is responsible for the following:

  • Manages a dedicated sales territory comprised of commercial and SLED accounts
  • Actively engaged in pipeline development, opportunity management, sales forecasting, and demand generation
  • Develop a go-to-market plan for commercial/SLED customer targets
  • Demonstrates a consultative sales approach by possessing a detailed understanding of the commercial marketplace along with the business acumen to solve customer problems
  • Ability to cultivate C-level relationships and understand underlying business drivers
  • Knowledge of commercial budget cycles and buying patterns
  • Ability to demonstrate strong presentation skills and lead customer-facing meetings
  • Leverages OEM, partner and other business relationships to increase business revenue and margin through information technology solutions sales
  • Excellent communication skills. Must have the ability to communicate with vendors and customers in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain various partner sales certifications as required
  • Seeking someone from either the OEM or VAR community
  • 5 years of Commercial/SLED IT sales experience is preferred
