Litigation Paralegal

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to provide comprehensive legal support throughout all phases of the litigation process, from case inception through trial. This role requires a highly organized professional with strong case management skills, experience handling complex litigation matters, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while collaborating closely with attorneys, clients, and legal support staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide litigation support throughout all stages of a case, including pre-litigation, discovery, hearings, trial preparation, and trial support.
  • Prepare, draft, review, file, and electronically file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, agreements, and other legal documents in state and federal courts.
  • Coordinate depositions, witness scheduling, service of process, subpoenas, and other litigation-related activities.
  • Manage all aspects of discovery, including document collection and production, privilege logs, document review, and discovery responses.
  • Maintain case files, litigation databases, calendars, deadlines, and document management systems.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, expert witnesses, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors.
  • Conduct factual investigations and legal research using online legal research platforms and public records.
  • Prepare trial exhibits, witness binders, hearing materials, and other trial support documentation.
  • Assist attorneys with case strategy, document organization, and litigation workflow to ensure timely case progression.
  • Monitor court deadlines and ensure compliance with applicable court rules and filing requirements.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of litigation paralegal experience preferred.
  • Extensive experience supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation, including trial preparation and trial support.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures, electronic filing systems, and litigation processes.
  • Experience managing high-volume caseloads and multiple complex litigation matters simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting commercial litigation, business litigation, insurance defense, construction litigation, fraud and recovery, or other complex civil litigation matters.
  • Familiarity with fraud-related investigations, medical records review, and document-intensive litigation.
  • Experience coordinating large-scale discovery, depositions, and trial logistics.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment while providing exceptional support to attorneys and clients.
