Accounting Manager
The Client has built its reputation as North America’s trusted document equipment partner by putting service first—never upselling, always delivering. As Accounting Manager you will protect that promise by turning accurate, timely financials into the insight our long-tenured teams need to keep customers running and the company growing.
Performance Objectives
- Close the monthly books within 8 business days with <0.5 % variance, delivering management-ready P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow statements that leadership actually uses.
- Reduce days-sales-outstanding by 10 % within 12 months through tighter credit reviews, proactive collections and cleaner invoice-to-cash processes across sales and service contracts.
- Implement and own a rolling 13-week cash forecast that flags shortfalls 30 days out, enabling zero-surprise vendor payments and equipment inventory buys.
- Lead the annual audit and tax-return process so that filings are filed on time, findings drop year-over-year, and no material weaknesses appear.
- Build a 3-person accounting team that can scale with 15 % annual revenue growth without adding headcount, documented in written procedures and cross-training plans.
- Partner with operations to reconcile $10 M+ of equipment inventory and service-parts stock monthly, cutting write-offs 20 % in the first year.
Environment & Resources
You report to the CFO and sit in Irving, TX with a collaborative, low-turnover finance group. You will have full access to our ERP, banking portals, and a dedicated budget for process-improvement tools. The broader team—technicians to executives—averages 10+ years of tenure, so institutional knowledge is deep and decisions happen fast.
Essential Qualifications
- CPA or equivalent plus 5+ years managing the full accounting cycle for a $50 M–$250 M distribution or equipment-dealer business.
- Proven record of closing books on time and producing audit-ready statements in Sage, NetSuite or comparable ERP.
- Hands-on experience with inventory accounting, lease/revenue recognition and multi-entity consolidations.

- Texas or remote-to-Irving availability; willingness to be on-site for month-end and audit weeks.
Role Selling Points
- Join a 50-year-old, privately held company that still treats customers and employees like partners, not transactions.
- Real ownership: your forecasts and controls directly influence inventory buys and service-contract pricing.
- Stable, long-tenured culture—people stay because the work matters and the leadership listens.
- Clear path to Controller as we continue to grow through organic service excellence, not acquisition frenzy.
