Financial Analyst and/or [Senior] Development Manager, Finance(?)
- Obtain, review and analyze client financial statements and operational budgets.
- Obtain, review and analyze project budgets and cash flows.
- Identify, evaluate and advise regarding capital contributions and financing packages.
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
- Obtain, review and analyze consulting inputs to client financial and operating outcomes including, but not limited to market feasibility analyses, actuarial analyses, and feasibility analyses.
- Develop and maintain financial analyses for client financial and operational projections.
- Analyze project impacts to client financial and operational projections.
- Evaluate drivers to financial and operational margins against similar engagements, industry norms and best practices, and industry benchmarks.
- Prepare financial scorecard to compare and contrast project scenarios impact on client financial and operational projections.
- Prepare draft feasibility models to establish key performance indicators for project scenarios and overall financial and operational projections.
- Evaluate financial and operational models against industry benchmarks for key performance indicators.
- Develop database of financial and operational models, outcomes, KPIs and benchmarks for reference in strategic and planning engagements with clients.
- Prepare executive summary reports and board reports for review and presentation at client meetings; obtain approval to proceed with recommendations.
- Collaborate with project development team members including but not limited to design team, preconstruction and construction managers, bankers, other financial institutions, feasibility consultants, marketing consultants, actuarial consultants, and internal development managers to achieve engagement and project success.
- Manage multiple, long-term and large-scale client engagements concurrently.
- Actively build relationships with clients and industry partners to identify new business opportunities and support the preparation of fee and scope proposals.
- Drive operational efficiencies, contribute to thought leadership, and assist in setting the strategic direction of the senior living development advisory group.
Qualifications
- 8-15 years relevant experience in a professional services firm or similar role to job description with preference for non-profit, senior living financial and development advisory services
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; a CPA professional designation preferred
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact directly with C-Suite and especially Chief Financial Officer or equivalent client leadership
