Assistant Superintendent – Multifamily Construction
Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on large, ground-up multifamily construction projects in the Greenville, NC area. This role plays a critical part in ensuring successful project execution by assisting with day-to-day site coordination, subcontractor oversight, quality control, and safety compliance.
The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Lead Superintendent and Project Team to maintain production schedules and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. Occasional travel to active project sites, including regional locations, may be required.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day field operations for large ground-up multifamily projects
- Support schedule execution and coordinate subcontractor activities across multiple buildings
- Monitor site progress to ensure adherence to quality standards and project timelines
- Enforce jobsite safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
- Conduct daily site walks to identify potential issues and proactively resolve them
- Maintain jobsite organization, cleanliness, and documentation
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Superintendent, Project Manager, and field teams
- Assist in inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent role
- Experience participating in at least 2–3 multifamily projects, ideally across all phases of construction
- Wood-frame construction experience required
- Large ground-up multifamily project experience required
- Large commercial ground-up experience may be considered for strong cultural and leadership fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- High School Diploma with steady and progressive field experience will be considered
