Job Summary
The Field Manager is responsible for overseeing all field operations, ensuring that landscaping projects and maintenance contracts are executed to company standards. This role requires technical knowledge of horticulture, irrigation, and hardscaping, combined with strong leadership skills to manage crews, satisfy clients, and maximize profitability on job sites.
Key Responsibilities

Crew Leadership: Direct, mentor, and train field personnel to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient performance.

Operational Management: Plan and schedule daily tasks, labor, and equipment for multiple sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.

Safety & Compliance: Enforce company safety policies, conduct regular safety inspections, and investigate incidents.

Client Relations: Act as a liaison with clients regarding site quality, changes in scope, and service requests to ensure satisfaction.

Quality Control: Perform site inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and contract specifications.

Resource Management: Oversee the proper use and maintenance of trucks, trailers, and power equipment.

Budgeting: Monitor job costs and manage labor hours to ensure maximum productivity and profitability.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the landscaping, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (managing crew).
- Strong knowledge of local plants, soil types, pests, and irrigation systems.
- Proficiency in operating various landscaping tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret project drawings and site plans.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead team-oriented environments.
