Client:

A direct lender for residential and multifamily real estate investors. We specialize in senior debt financing with products such as bridge loans, value-add loans, new construction loans, and permanent portfolio loans for our borrowers nationwide. As a FinTech commercial lender in rapid-growth mode, our differentiation strategy is employing technological integration into all our processes to enable an efficient lending experience for both our clients and our internal team. With deep capital partners and institutional investment backing, we are looking to originate $1 Billion in loans over the next 12 months.


Job:

We are in search of highly motivated and customer-centric individuals to join our team as Loan Originators. We are looking for sales professionals who are dedicated to enhancing the customer experience and adept at sourcing and fostering strategic relationships. Successful candidates will demonstrate a proven track record of achieving $3 million or more in monthly origination volume within the fix/flip, ground-up construction, single-family rental, and/or short-term bridge financing sectors.


Responsibilities:

As a valued member of the loan origination team, your role entails a diverse set of responsibilities focused on recognizing and leveraging new lending prospects in the investment real estate domain. Key tasks encompass:


1. Sales Focus and Relationship Building:

- Initiate sales endeavors to nurture strong connections with property investors, brokers, and real estate agents. Engage various avenues like company leads, referrals, and industry events.

- Identify potential clients and lending possibilities by fostering relationships with real estate investors and referral partners, such as brokers and realtors.

- Employ standardized tools to assess transactions, ascertain deal sizes, and formulate quotes and term sheets for potential clientele.


2. Loan Processing Facilitation:

- Support the borrower approval process by gathering and furnishing necessary information for submission to the loan processing unit.


3. Pipeline Management:

- Efficiently manage and prioritize a dynamic pipeline of prospective clients and loan applications, ensuring timely follow-ups and updates to meet set objectives.

- Establish and maintain a robust client database within the CRM system, ensuring proficient utilization of contact management tools and customer relationship management strategies.


4. Interdepartmental Collaboration:

- Cultivate robust alliances with leaders in Processing, Underwriting, Valuations, and other departments, emphasizing the loan pipeline and collaborating to resolve interdepartmental obstacles.


5. Industry Events and Networking:

- Participate in industry gatherings and conferences, employing strategic pre-event planning, onsite meetings, and post-event outreach to identify and convert leads.


Qualifications:

  1. Current or Past experience working for a direct competitor of a Lending Firm.
  2. Proven track record of achieving $3 million or more in monthly origination volume in fix/flip, ground-up construction, single-family rental, and/or short-term bridge financing.
  3. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  4. Ability to analyze and organize financial information and perform financial calculations.
  5. Ability to structure the loans according to the customer’s needs and the bank’s underwriting guidelines.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
