Job Summary
The Maintenance Account Manager is a client-facing role responsible for delivering an excellent client experience while leading assigned production crews. This individual manages a portfolio of maintenance accounts in alignment with company customer service standards, quality expectations, and contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain proactive communication and strong business relationships with clients, property managers, homeowner associations, and other stakeholders to ensure client retention
- Manage maintenance contracts and execute production schedules to meet or exceed contract expectations
- Conduct regular property evaluations and client meetings to assess needs, ensure satisfaction, and resolve issues; attend board meetings as needed
- Identify enhancement opportunities and collaborate with the sales team to support business growth
- Manage budgets, reporting, and billing processes in accordance with company procedures; coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues
- Maintain inventory of materials and equipment for assigned crews; report needs and provide accurate monthly updates
- Follow all operational procedures related to facility opening and closing
- Lead and manage maintenance crews of approximately 3 to 5 employees; allocate labor and resources effectively
- Oversee crew leaders to ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule
- Ensure accurate time tracking and approval for all team members
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment; report hazards and partner with internal teams on safety initiatives
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, training, and performance management, including annual reviews and disciplinary actions when needed
- Partner with HR to support a positive employee experience from onboarding through offboarding
- Collaborate with peers and leadership on projects and initiatives
- Travel regularly between job sites; limited overnight travel may be required for training or meetings
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in horticulture, construction, customer relationship management, or a related field
- 3 or more years of related experience
- Experience managing and coaching employees in landscaping or a related labor-intensive field
- Strong relationship-building skills with clients and stakeholders
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety
- Experience with Aspire is a plus
