Business Developer


Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Business Developer to identify, pursue, and close new commercial opportunities in the landscape maintenance sector. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial property operations and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients while driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Growth

  • Identify, pursue, and close new commercial maintenance opportunities, including HOAs, office parks, multifamily, and retail properties
  • Meet and exceed sales targets within a competitive market

Client Relationships

  • Build trust-based partnerships with property owners, managers, and developers
  • Ensure long-term client satisfaction and retention through effective communication and follow-up

Market Development

  • Represent the company at industry associations, trade events, and community organizations
  • Generate leads and expand market visibility

Proposal Management

  • Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to develop, present, and negotiate customized maintenance proposals
  • Ensure proposals align with client needs and operational capabilities

CRM & Pipeline Management

  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline, forecasts, and activity updates in CRM
  • Report performance regularly to leadership

Operational Alignment

  • Work closely with operations to ensure smooth transitions from sales to service
  • Ensure client expectations are consistently met

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of direct sales experience in commercial landscaping (maintenance services required; enhancements and irrigation sales a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance operations, including estimating, service scopes, and seasonal maintenance
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and goal-driven with strong follow-up discipline
  • Comfortable working independently in the field and managing time effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Willingness to travel throughout Central Texas
